01

What is Detarva Academy?

A place to learn architecture and engineering for students, juniors and firms in Indonesia. Lessons are short, practice uses drawings you can actually change, and the teachers are practitioners who run their own classes as creators.

02

I'm in my first years at university. Is it too hard?

Start with the Beginner courses. The Reading Working Drawings and Building Science tracks have no prerequisites. You don't need to have visited a project to follow the first chapter.

03

What can I try without paying?

Chapter 1 of every course, daily practice, the Glossary and Liga Studio. No card, and no ads.

04

How long is one lesson?

Three to eight minutes. Enough for one train ride or the gap before a morning meeting. Ten minutes every day beats three hours on a weekend.

05

How is this different from a video course?

Here you do the work, not just watch. You stack the layers of a detail, find the fault in a drawing, and slide a parameter until the drawing changes. Video is there when it helps, but it isn't the point.

06

Who is Arvy?

Arvy is the tutor at Detarva Academy. With Tanya Arvy you can ask about a lesson, and Arvy helps you find the relevant material and sources. Technical decisions on a project stay with you and your senior.

07

Can I use the drawings on a project?

No. Every detail in the courses is an illustration for learning, not for construction. For a real building, follow your firm's standards and the project engineer's drawings. If an existing building has a problem, ask an expert who can see it in person.

Plans and payment

6 questions
01

What's the difference between Pro and Single course?

Pro at Rp149.000 a month opens every course, track, exam and certificate while you subscribe. Single course starts at Rp199.000, priced by its creator, and is one payment for one course, and that course stays yours. Track exams and certificates come with Pro, Team and Firm.

02

How much do I save on yearly?

Yearly is Rp1.188.000, which works out to Rp99.000 a month. That saves 34 percent over paying monthly.

03

Can I stop any time?

Yes. A monthly subscription stops at the end of the period you've paid for. Certificates you've earned stay yours, and your progress is still there if you come back.

04

How do I pay?

Checkout on this site is a simulation: you go through the same steps as a normal purchase, but no money moves and no card is charged.

05

What if it isn't for me?

Try chapter 1 before you pay. If you've already paid, the refund policy sets out what happens.

06

How do Team and Firm differ?

Team is Rp119.000 per seat per month, minimum 5 seats: everything in Pro plus the seat dashboard, cohorts and reports. Firm is Rp169.000 per seat per month, minimum 15 seats: plus firm standards as private tracks. Both are billed yearly.

Tracks and certificates

5 questions
01

What's the difference between a skill track and a career track?

A skill track covers one subject end to end, such as Core Details, and closes with an exam and a certificate. A career track pulls courses from several subjects in the order one role needs them, such as Studio-Ready Drafter.

02

What is the track exam like?

40 questions in 60 minutes: multiple choice, calculations and reading drawings. You pass at 75 percent. The clock keeps running once you start, so set aside a quiet hour.

03

What if I don't pass?

You can retake it after 7 days. Your results show which parts are weak, so use the time to redo those chapters.

04

What does the certificate count as?

It's proof you passed a Detarva Academy track exam. It isn't a professional competency certificate or a licence to practise. Many people use it in their portfolio when applying, and how much it counts is up to the employer.

05

Can I share it online or print it?

Yes. Each certificate has its own number and can be downloaded as a PDF or shared through a link.

Teams and firms

5 questions
01

How many seats do we need?

Team starts at 5 seats and Firm at 15. Below that, Pro per person usually makes more sense.

02

What does the principal see on the dashboard?

Active seats, tracks in progress, progress per person, exam scores and exercises marked Needs revision. Private conversations with Arvy are not visible.

03

How do firm standards become private tracks?

Firm standards live in Detarva as reviewed details. The curriculum team turns them into lessons and exercises, so juniors learn from the firm's own details rather than generic examples.

04

Who can see our firm standards?

Only seats in your firm. Private tracks don't appear in the public catalog and aren't used for other courses.

05

If a junior leaves, what happens to the seat?

The seat returns to the firm and can be reassigned from the dashboard. Any certificates that person earned stay theirs.

Creators

8 questions
01

What share does a creator get?

70 percent of what your courses earn. Single-course sales are counted per transaction. Pro revenue is split by minutes learned in your courses, and 70 percent of that is yours. You can see the breakdown per course every month.

02

Who sets the course price?

You do. Set each course's single price between Rp99.000 and Rp999.000 in Creator Studio, and 70 percent of it is yours. Your course stays open to Pro learners.

03

Who owns the material?

It stays yours. You license it to Detarva Academy for as long as we work together. Your videos, notes and drawings don't change hands.

04

Can I keep selling my own classes?

Yes. The arrangement isn't exclusive. Your online classes, bootcamps and community keep running as usual.

05

How much work is it?

For a five-chapter course, plan on two to three days of recording and a few hours of review. The curriculum team builds the interactive practice, questions and translation with you. If you already have class material, much of it can be reused.

06

When do I get paid?

On the 25th of each month for the month before, with a report per course.

07

What if I want to leave?

Give 30 days' notice. Your course stops being sold after that. Learners who already bought it keep access, and your share of past sales is still paid.

08

Is any income guaranteed?

No. Income depends on your topic, the quality of the course and how actively you bring your audience. The numbers on this page are illustrations of how the maths works.

Account and data

4 questions
01

Who can see my learning progress?

Only you, unless you're on a firm seat. On a firm seat the principal sees progress and scores, not your conversations.

02

Forgot your password?

Use the forgot password screen on the sign-in page, then follow the link we send you.

03

Can I move to another account?

One person, one account. If you change email or move firms, your progress and certificates go with you.

04

How do I delete my account?

From the settings page. Your personal data is deleted, except what must be kept for transaction records. The details are in the privacy policy.

Q-199Clear enough

The rest is best tried yourself.

Chapter 1 of every course is free, no card.
